First Class A: Ms Mcsweeney

The drizzle couldn’t dampen our excitement on our day out to town

We first enjoyed hot chocolates and our snacks at Lir Café. We were then greeted by Santa and welcomed into the Deenagh Lodge where the children heard all about his new letter machine, saw Mrs. Claus’ sitting room and Santa’s office. He read a story and had a chat with the children before declaring them all to be on the nice list!!
We also went on the river walk loop and were lucky enough to see 4 of Santa’s reindeer racing in the field and practicing their jump start!
A lovely day out was had by all.

Credit Union Art competition

Congratulations to Max who achieved great success in the Credit Union Art competition.   He came 1st in the Killarney area and second in the county overall- maith thú Max!

The children used BeeBots with 6th class students during science week

BeeBots are small programmable robots which introduces children to creating simple programs. They learn the importance of sequences of accurate instructions, and test their sequences out by making mazes and programming the BeeBot accurately to manoeuvre through it without crashing!

Tennis Lessons

1st class really enjoyed their 6 weeks of tennis lessons and made fantastic progress with the various skills needed to play a game.
