Fundraising for Eddie Sheehy’s Kenya Educational Project & Irish Cancer Society
5th class recently had a fundraising day to raise funds for two charities: Eddie Sheehy’s Kenya Educational Project and Irish Cancer Society. We raised €244 for both charities and we are delighted with our effort. Our fundraising day involved all classes coming to our room for 20 minutes for games and cakes.
Kenyan Education Project
Students of 5th and 6th class received a talk from Eddie Sheehy of the Kenyan Education Project. The children of Fossa have supported this charity over the last number of years through donations for the chess club. Eddie thanked all the children for their generous donations and spoke about the children, schools and programmes that are supported through the charity.
Spikeball All-Ireland Finals
Members of 5th and 6th Class have qualified for the Spikeball All-Ireland Finals. The team came through County and Munster competitions to make it to the final 8 of Ireland. The All-Irelands take in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. Best of Luck!
