Congratulations to the sixteen wonderful students who represented our school with distinction on Sunday at the annual Credit Union Quiz, held at The Great Southern Hotel. 77 teams from schools in the greater Killarney area took part and our school achieved great success. Our u11 team brought home silverware, coming joint third with St. John’s National school, Kenmare. Our team scored 44 points, just four points behind the winning team from St. Oliver’s N.S. Well done to MacDara Ó Sé, RianO’ Reilly, Oisín Wilson and Conor Clifford. We are very proud of you all.
The three other teams did very well also, finishing very high up on the leader board. Congratulations to Doireann O’ Connor, David Kennelly, Colm Kissane O’ Sullivan, Noah Keogh, Tommy Kavanagh, Eve O’ Halloran, Noah O’ Sullivan, Oliver Bagi, Ellie Cronin, Chloe O’ Sullivan, Emily Doody and James McGregor.
A special mention to Luke O’ Donnell and Ned Donovan who showed great commitment by coming to all the quiz practices and being ready on standby, if a substitute was needed on the day. Your efforts are very much appreciated too.
We wish to also thank Mrs Brigid Murphy who tutored the children during and after school in preparation for the competition .
